During London Fashion Week, I was fortunate enough to attend an array of shows, but it is definitely correct that the first show really does set the tone. Luckily for me, my first show was the high-talented Ong-Oaj Pairam show at the beautifully furnished Hotel Cafe Royal.
Before I comment on the stunning SS16 collection, I have to warn you that I even though this was my busiest fashion show season, it was also (unfortunately timed shall I add) that my little camera decided to stop working! Hence why most of the shots below are a tad or very blurry.
However I think some look very artistic - which I keep telling myself!
The show was absolutely beautiful from my recollection and the video I uploaded on Instagram. Although the weather was miserable, windy and raining Pairam really did bring summer to London that day. I can vividly remember the audience and I being in awe, of all the gorgeous floaty pieces gliding down the catwalk.
As I write this, I am thinking how can I describe this collection without over using words like beautiful, stunning or angelic ... also how can one collection embody so many adjectives! Though that is the appeal of Ong-Oaj, he has the gift of creating collections that encapsulate various personalities suited for all body types and lifestyles.
Ong-Oaj's collection ranged from cool pastel tones like buttery yellows to vibrant pinks and punchy blues - ideal for standing out of the crowd.
This collection was a testament to designing pieces with a carefree attitude to fashion and one aspect that cannot be denied is the attention to detail on every garment, from delicate embroidery to the patterns and textures.
Until next time lovelies,
